Life as a mermaid can be suffocating.

Sometimes following your heart can end up destroying the ones you love.
When seventeen-year-old Eviana Dumahl is faced with the responsibility of an arranged marriage and clan leadership, she is forced to choose between the life required of a mermaid and one of a teenage girl simply infatuated with the wrong guy. Kain, her devoted fiancĂ© would make a wonderful husband except that she’s been in love with Brendan, a shape-shifting selkie, ever since they were kids. Choosing to abandon her family, her clan, and her life with Kain will have dire consequences far beyond anything she could have imagined.
A war is brewing amongst the clans and Eviana unwittingly becomes a pawn in the intricate schemes of a twisted mastermind. With Brendan’s life on the line, she has no choice but to involve those who she once considered friends. Amidst encountering senseless tragedies and immense loss, Eviana discovers that she is more valuable as a clan leader than anyone ever suspected. Her survival is not only dependent upon the loyalty of her friends, but also on her acceptance of a life that she had so adamantly tried to escape.
Promises is the first book of The Syrenka Series trilogy following Eviana and her friends through the perils of growing up in a discrete world that inherently threatens human society.

For Always Cover Reveal

“For Always” Coming November 2013…

* Book #1 in the For Always Series *

Malyn Reed meets, and quickly falls in love with, Beau Brogan, who seems to be perfect in every way…

Except for the fact that he died in 1910…

Malyn Reed has been able to see spirits her entire life. Now that she’s almost seventeen, she has learned to differentiate between the living and the dead, making her gift feel less like an evil curse. She ignores the spirits she encounters on a daily basis, which has made living side by side with them slightly easier…until she moves to Dandridge, the second oldest town in Tennessee.

Beau Brogan was a hard working country boy from Dandridge, Tennessee who loved his family and stole the hearts of many southern belles. But all of that came to a tragic halt at the age of nineteen when his life came to an untimely end. For the past hundred years, his spirit has been entombed in a ghostly life of loneliness and misery that he wishes would just end…until the Reeds move in.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Janae has been a writer since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Her genre of choice was poetry and short stories—until now. After falling in love with so many books over the past decade, she decided that she wanted to write a novel of her own and bring life to the characters that haunt her mind. It wasn't until 2012 that she pursued that passion and started on her first YA novel. 115,000 words later, For Always was born.

Having grown up in an historical Dandridge home that was used as slave quarters during the Civil War, she experienced several things that couldn't be explained. Due to these events, she sought out and joined an investigative team called Eyewitness Paranormal. Her interest in ghosts and the unexplained, combined with her love for telling a story, made writing the For Always series inevitable.

Janae was born and raised in East Tennessee, where she currently resides with her husband, two children, and their hairless dog, Slick. In her spare time, she likes to read, play tennis, and spend time with her family on the lake.

City of Bones

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .

A little too far

Today is the publication day for Lisa Desrochers’ steamy (and controversial!) New Adult hit A LITTLE TOO FAR. This one is definitely the most scandalous New Adult title of the year with passionate, sexy scenes flying across the page. It’s about Lexie Banks who has just had insanely hot sex with her step-brother, and is feeling… confused about the situation, to say the least. Luckily she is about to fly off to Rome where she can sort out her feelings. But of course, nothing is ever that easy. Lexie barely steps foot in Rome before she meets Alessandro, the utterly gorgeous soon-to-be-priest. Yeah, she’s definitely gone too far, alright!

Abigail Tyson said,

You don’t have to take it from her, look at who else loves this book:

—"Sinfully sexy, but utterly unique. My favorite New Adult book of the year!" Cora Carmack, New York Times bestselling author of Losing It

—"More than a ridiculously sexy, HOT read, Desrochers takes you on a wild ride of self-discovery and bittersweet romance." Jennifer L. Armentrout (J. Lynn), New York Times bestselling author of Wait for You

—"This is forbidden love and longing done absolutely right! Complicated and sexy doesn't even begin to describe Lexie's journey." Jay Crownover, New York Times bestselling author of Rule

And if you need even more convincing, check out this adorable, flirty trailer.

This is on the top of my read list.!!!

COVER REVEAL!!!!

“Awakenings” coming May 2013
*Sqeuls* this cover might just be the most beautiful cover I have ever revealed!!!
Synopsis:

When sixteen-year old Jacey Adison’s parents tell her they must move again, she has never questioned their life style. Until now. When Jacey was two, her parents fled the protection of their birthplace, the mystical dimension of Nemele. Leaving was the only solution her parents believed might allow them to keep their family together and alive.

The Adisons have been running from a sect of iniquitous beings from Nemele who covet Jacey. Her parents have repressed their adversaries’ relentless tracking efforts by not utilizing their own mystical powers. They have chosen to conceal themselves within the only realm they knew they’d be able to survive. They are living under their self-imposed powerless sanctions on Earth, which constitutes the nineteenth nation of Nemele.

Her parents have never revealed their true identities to Jacey, consequently keeping her true lineage and unique birthright from her. Jacey’s family has pretended to be non-magical humans as a ploy to prevent an ancient omnipotent entity from killing more innocent beings in its relentless quest to possess Jacey.

Born as an anomaly, Jacey possesses rare abilities that both virtuous and corrupt entities seek to use as their own. Should either side prevail, Jacey may be the saviour or downfall of every world within Nemele’s domains. Blindly thrust into life and death situations, Jacey learns of her true powers within her dreaming and conscious states.

Promo Blitz

Lindsey Fairleigh and Lindsey Pogue - After the Ending - EXTREME PROMO BLITZ

Sci-Fi / Dystopian
Date Published: 2/22/13

The Virus spread. Billions died. The Ending began. We may have survived the apocalypse, but
the Virus changed us.

When people started getting sick, “they” thought it was just the flu. My roommate, my
boyfriend, my family…they’re all gone now. I got sick too. I should have died with them—with
the rest of the world—but I didn’t. I thought witnessing the human population almost disappear
off the face of the earth was the craziest thing I’d ever experience. I was so wrong. My name is
Dani O’Connor, I’m twenty-six-years-old, and I survived The Ending.

The Virus changed everything. The world I knew is gone, and life is backwards. We’ve all had to
start over. I’ve been stripped of my home, my dreams…all that is me. I’m someone else now—
broken and changed. Other survivors’ memories and emotions haunt me. They invade my mind
until I can no longer separate them from my own. I won’t let them consume me. I can’t. My
name is Zoe Cartwright, I’m twenty-six-years-old, and I survived The Ending.

We’ve been inseparable for most of our lives, and now our friendship is all we have left. The
aftermath of the Virus has stranded us on opposite sides of the United States. Trusting strangers,
making sacrifices, killing—we’ll do anything to reach one another. Fear and pain may be
unavoidable, but we’re strong…we’re survivors. But to continue surviving in this unfamil-iar
world plagued by Crazies and strange new abilities, we have to adapt. We have to evolve.

EXCERPT

Looking around apprehensively, I made my way toward the convenience store in hopes of finding a
bathroom. The vacant world around me was eerily silent. All I could hear was the creaking of a giant wooden
billboard being assaulted by the wind.
How long has it been since anyone was here? Through the dark windows I saw a bathroom sign that looked
promising, but I couldn’t bring myself to enter. I wonder if it’s safe…
As I stood outside of the store, I noticed a newspaper box still filled with papers. I leaned closer. The
headline read, BILLIONS DEAD, and the paper was dated December 9, right before everything had started
to shut down. I inserted a quarter and snatched out a paper. Scanning its contents, my mouth grew dry and
my body stiffened.

…the H1N1/12 pandemic…
…looting and riotous outbreaks everywhere…
…end of civilization as we know it…
…survivors losing their minds…
…governments can’t control…
…the Apocalypse…

The newspaper slipped from between my fingers. Frozen in place, I was suffocated by the reality of our
situation.
This isn’t going away.
The world ended.
Thinking of the strange feelings I’d been experiencing, I once again questioned my own sanity. My
thoughts were too loud to silence. My heart thudded, and I couldn’t swallow the lump in my throat. Looking
out into the abandoned world around me, I realized how alone we really were.
I bent down to reclaim the paper and turned on my heels to head back toward the truck, completely
awestruck as the words I’d read replayed in my mind. Each was a reminder that the only world I’d ever
known had ended.

THE AMAZING AUTHORS

Lindsey Fairleigh and Lindsey Pogue

Author Bio:
Lindsey Fairleigh lives her life with one foot in a book—as long as that book transports her to
a magical world or bends the rules of science. Her novels, from post-apocalyptic to time travel
and historical fantasy, always offer up a hearty dose of unreality, along with plenty of adventure
and romance. When she’s not working on her next novel, Lindsey spends her time reading and
trying out new recipes in the kitchen. She lives in the Napa Valley with her loving husband and
confused cats.

Lindsey Pogue has always been a little creative. As a child she established a bug hospital on
her elementary school soccer field, compiled books of collages as a teenager, and as an adult,
expresses herself through writing. Her novels are inspired by her observations of the world
around her—whether she’s traveling, people watching, or hiking. When not plotting her next
storyline or dreaming up new, brooding characters, Lindsey’s wrapped in blankets watching her
favorite action flicks or going on road trips with her own leading man.
